Dr. AySax(Ayomide Adeyemi) is a Christian and a Nigerian, born and raised in the city of Ibadan.
He is a medical doctor, musician, content creator and innovator.
Ayomide started playing the recorder at about 7 years of age and was taught the basics of the mouth organ by his father at about the same age.
He started playing the saxophone at the age of 15 and the clarinet a few years later.
He is currently a music multi-instrumentalist with a focus on woodwind instruments. However, he is known more with the saxophone and the recorder. He enjoys energetic music, soul instrumental music and jazz and he plays and produces music mainly in the genres of smooth jazz, gospel, musicals, selected pop music and folklore on his saxophone and recorder.
Ayomide predominantly plays in his church but is also a mainstream smooth jazz saxophonist.
Largely influenced by the phenomenal Kirk Whalum, a Grammy Award winning smooth jazz saxophonist, Ayomide's music philosophy and style of play may be likened to his.
Ayomide has played in a supportive role alongside the Nigerian saxophone legend, Herbert Kunle-Ajayi.
He has also played at various events including dinners, corporate events and concerts.
He was the Official Guest Artist at the Federation of African Medical Students Association(FAMSA) General Assembly 2018.
He was also Guest Artist twice in 2 consecutive years (2017 and 2018) at the CHECK(Creating Healthier Communities and Kinship) Medical Missions' World Shakers International Platform.
He was winner of the Alexander Brown Hall Talent Hunt Competition in 2018.
He is the Director and Lead Music Artist at Daytad Concepts and Media, a growing music and Media and technology business Enterprise known predominantly for live instrumental music and themed music production.
He is also a member of the 2k15 Music Crew, a musical group of medical students in the University of Ibadan, whose music reflect the medical school experience.
He believes that music is to be carefully explored with proper content and good intents.
He has released a sample album(Worship with AySax vol.1) in 2018, a collection of seven songs recorded over pre-made tracks with the saxophone. He also recorded a number of sample tracks ranging from the gospel genre to musicals, selected pop music, funk and pure jazz.
